Our database is centered on the company Wireless Zone, premium retailer of Verizon Wireless. Searching for records and files was always a real pain and sometimes, that record or file was never found. The whole process was, first off, very time consuming, and second off, extremely manual. For a tech retailer, like Verizon Wireless, a computer database, where these records and files can be stored, should be a main factor in how efficiently the business is ran.
With implementing a new, computerized database into the business, the positive impact it will have will be evident. With the database intact, the business would be ran much more smoothly, as well as create more opportunities. One example would be keeping track of special/miscellaneous orders. For the time being, for any special orders, like a unique phone case, we would record in a paperback notebook that each store would have. However, with this database, all orders would be easily viewable with specific information like order and delivery dates, customer contact information, and the distributor of the product. This is just one case in which how this database would do wonders for the company.
